commuting to boston…

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

wtf! i just got home from a trip to boston and i took the bus, the subway, and walked, got a lot and no doubt about that a lot of passes from "black" young and OLD american men. what a way to finish my trip. anyway im resting and got nothing to do so im doing this blog just to relax me and to get everything out of my system. you gotta pardon me this is my first interstate alone in us and im pretty much overwhelmed you know. so anyway i went to boston last week to take an english exams for my cg. i was suppose to take it in new york but there were no more slots and it seems that the next available date is on april i needed to take the earliest exams i could take and good thing boston had it last feb 11 plus i was told that there were less people in boston. yup so true. but so many filipinos. :) home sweet home. so going back to boston… i took the exam last saturday and afterwards my uncle drove me around and went around boston… harvard, mit, boston university, the gold plate dome of some state capitol blah blah anyway he treated me to a nice french deli where i had one of the most delicious sandwich with some sort of a mushroom and roastbeef… well anyway just to give you an idea hes very french hehe what a stupid statement from me i mean he likes to say all those french words and hes very into those stuff. he speaks like an english and know all the good places to eat and itsl ike there sho sho au au revoir boudour pweh pweh basta ganun cya magsalita hehehe. so anyway i was suppose to go home over the weekend but then i got stuck because of the blizzard! so anyway snow again… cold brr.. and im left to stay home with my grandma. so valentines day ended up with grandma and watching romantic movies. imagine me reminiscing with my grandma around! eeww… how awkward. but yeah thats how it happened. the next day when the roads are clear and its not so cold we went shopping downtown. we took the train went all the way to downtown from brookline. by the way my lola lives in brookline its the outskirt of boston na pero still within the city. so we went shopping and i bought shoes! yey! i mean for someone who knows me… i love shoes :) anne klein for 15 dollars! original price 69$ what a steal! so we go shopping and all went home. so now… the main part… i commute the next day! thats today… this is how it happend…. when i went to boston from nj i took the train which was 74 dollars! expensive! supposedly dad would pick me up over the weekend para tipid but coz of the storm and coz my lola had to go home sa phil i had to stay until wed and had to commute going back home… so i took the bus which was so much cheaper! my uncle dropped me off to the bus station… from the bus station to new york.. that was pretty uneventful… i was sitting with this bald yuppie american guy. whats happening to the world? hes just a yuppie but hes going bald… so anyway the exciting thing happened when i got into new york…  you know how it is when we would see pictures of new york and people would say how nice it is and its the big city and all the stuff well with the bus we had to go around those little roads that are really ugly and it showed me a diff new york very disappointing. moving on, when i got off the bus and walked over to where i was suppose to go to which at that time i dont know where! this black guy who was really young about our age he was wearing those blue basketball jerseys and a cap and a black coat anyway you get the picture… black, hip hop! he took off his cap then looked at me really long it was unnerving so i smiled what do you expect me to do? and he said H E L L O… hehehe i didnt think id be attracted to a black guy but i was. and he is attractive. so anyway other than that… the whole experience of getting on the traIN looking for your train amidst all those people and with so many trains from all directions! plus i was pulling this huge bag with me pa. tiring. i was so lost. i was a small fish in the sea. but i kept telling myself as long as i know how to read know how to speak english and know how to ask il arrive to where im suppose to. where? raritan, new jersey. its funny i was looking for a my train at newark penn station and this guy came up to me and said can i help you you look lost, hes 65 years old and he did help me. good thing he was going to the same train as i so i stayed with him then we talked and all and he was making passes at me! hehe 65 years old! scary! but he was like my lolo! he gave me a cd and then he asked can i take you out to the city sometime hehe he gave me his number then even told me if i call him hed give me present from avon since hes a dealer hehe hes retired so he has all this little business, mind you AVON in the us is something. idl ike to edit and add more but im tired. i walked so much today. i miss my hunny. i had no computer access in boston i wasnt able to chat and see him on webcam. and the whole time i was travelling i was thinking of my bestfriend it would be so nice if i was with her yeah wed fight all the time but she wud have made my trip really eventful added more to it. actually if i didnt have so much stuff with me i would have walk around the city… oh well next time… right now ill put myself back into my old routine study study study… miss you all!
